7 P’s Lead Your Life

The 7 peas to lead your life. By the way, They're seeds so plant them!

The 7 peas to lead your life. (By the way, they’re seeds so plant them!) Did you really count the peas in the pod? lol

Here are seven simple ways to lead your own life. Make these a daily part of your regiment to remind yourself how to lead yourself and others.

Passion

Love what you do. It establishes your why and allows you to be enthusiastic. People live for a dream, but will die for a cause. It all depends on your passion level of what you undertake. You will do more for the things you love than for things you hate, so let’s not make this complicated. Choose what you love and do it. Pick out the things you love from the things you hate and do them!

 Plan your Life

Write down your dreams. Then set goals for them. Be a risk taker! Have a mission that matters. I have heard this before and I will say it again, a plan not written down is a dream. And a dream without a plan is a nightmare. Take the time to do these things.

Pick your People

  • Are you are going to be a magnet that attracts others?
  • Pick your friends they have the greatest influence.
  • Pick your mentors they will guide you.
  • Pick your team they will complement you.
  • My Dad told me earlier in life:
  • Pick a good doctor; you never know when you will need one.
  • Pick a good lawyer; you really never know when you will need one.
  • Pick a good spiritual leader; you will be blessed by them – be a blessing to them.
  • Pick a good accountant/financial advisor; If you have money or not, you will one day.
  • Pick a good spouse; Life is just not that good without one.

 Purpose for Success

What will happen when you get to the next level? Your talent will take you there, will your character keep you there? Character is what you would do when no one is looking. It is a way of life. It is being accountable to yourself and your people. With it, you have prestige and authority. Without it, you are simply doomed to constant criticism. Character gives you the power to influence.

 Prepare for Obstacles

They will come, what will you do? You must be ready for them. Be prepared with a plan to overcome them. Be courageous and know what to say and do when they come up. Have you ever gone on a trip or to big event with a child and did not prepare for bathroom breaks before leaving or during the trip? The panic you have trying to find an answer to that solution is almost unbearable to think. I have six kids, and a two-year old grandson. I’ve done this too many times. The same is true with your life and business. Prepare for the worse while you hope for the best. You will always come out on top.

 Power of Excellence

Have high Ethics. Have high Standards.

Expect the best out of yourself and others. Going far beyond the call of duty, doing more than others expect this is what excellence is about. And it comes from striving, maintaining the highest standards, looking after the smallest detail, and going the extra mile. Excellence means caring it means a special effort to do more.

Prescription for Happiness

  •  Balance your Life. Be There.
  • Spiritually
  • Physically
  • Mentally
  • Financially
  • and Socially.
  • Be committed to your Dreams.
  • Love Someone, Help Someone, Be Someone

5 Steps to a SUCCESSNOW! Resolution

Let's get it right this time

Let’s get it right this time

Travis Tip:

My Pastor somehow always makes reference to one of his favorite phrases almost every Sunday. “If you want a change, you must make a change. If you want something, you must do something different.” This phrase is simple and direct. It astonishes me how hard this actually is for people to make an actuality, and this includes me at times. I find myself telling myself, “Whoa, change your thinking here.” Just as John Wooden tells us in his many quotes we like, “You have to force yourself to be enthusiastic.” -You must force your mind to take action to change and be different. I know everyone is going to be in agreement that we all want this year to be different from last year. That is, to either be more in this or less in that. (I will leave that totally open for you to fill in the blanks.) When you are making a New Year’s Resolution, here are five tips to help you get it right this time.

Choose a resolution that feels challenging, yet still manageable. If it is too big you will give up and you won’t complete it and if it’s too small, you won’t respect the effort it will take to complete it therefore you won’t complete it either.

Be sure your resolution is attached to your vision. The strategies, steps and tasks you undertake must be in a direct line toward your target. Each goal achieved will bring you closer to your goal.

Make undoubtedly sure that your resolution is something you want. You will go further for your own goals than for someone else’s. Remember these are your resolutions. They may include serving or assisting other people. But when the obstacles arise (and they will), being selfish in “getting yours” will make an impact so you can help others.

Have a strategic plan that is written down that defines the key steps over time, but also the tasks you can take daily. A plan not written down is a dream. And a dream without a plan is a nightmare.

Be accountable to someone. Partner with a friend and share each other’s resolutions. Make a good choice here. That person should make you accountable to what your plans are to become what you what to become and achieve what you want to achieve. You must in turn to be able to motivate and inspire your partner to accomplish their goals as well. Together you can enjoy each other’s successes as you proceed through 2013.

The number 13 cleans and purifies. It also brings the test, it symbolizes the death to the matter; the passage on a higher level of existence. Be thoughtful and go back to the thoughts you have for a brighter 2013.

I am thinking back to Sunday Service. Our theme this year happens to be “Unshakable Faith to Achieve Real Results.” So, in your business, your relationships, and to yourself, make these tips the strategies you will put in place to make a difference and for you to be the difference to achieve real results in your 2013.

SPEAK SUCCESS!

And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:22-24

This is indeed a formula for SUCCESSNOW! Jesus states “have faith in God and speak it.” I believe that your faith will then give you the three things necessary for you to accomplish the removal of mountains, realization of dreams and the strength and drive to carry it out.

First, there must be a VISION: Take what ever you want, dream about, or hope for, and actually visualize yourself having it. It may be an achieved forecast, a weight loss goal, a financial number, or the perfect relationship.

Second, there must be a PLAN: Write your vision down and write a rough draft of multiple ways of achieving the goal. Re-write it so that there are steps to take, resources to gather and people to involve. (even if the only person is you)

and Third, take ACTION! Nothing achieved ever stayed on paper. To realize plans, goals or dreams, you must initiate action to make things come to life. Achievers must have the determination to continue when the going gets tough and opposition arises.

Then, the most important step, BELIEVE: Only when you have the faith to undertake and the belief that every plan will come to pass and every step will be achieved, will there be success. There has to be so much faith and so much belief that you tell yourself and anyone around you over and over again, “It will happen, it will happen!” or “We can do it!” or even “I’M THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!”

Speak your success into existence. Speak it into yourself, your team and everyone who needs to believe. Muhammad Ali spoke it so much we all believed and he backed it up. Do you have enough faith and belief in yourself, your plan and your team to speak that thing into existence…..and back it up? I believe it is already done!~LetsGO!

CRAFTING AN ELEVATOR SPEECH

OPENING STATEMENT

This workshop teaches anyone how to come up with the perfect elevator speech, 30 second pitch, or introduction. First impressions are important. Learn how to make it a lasting impression!

YOUR INTRODUCTION. It can make you or break you. Do you know what to say, how to say it, and benefit the person you are speaking with? I will show you how to get your message across quickly and effectively whether you are at a networking event, on the phone or actually in the elevator. Windows of opportunity are typically slammed shut in less than 10 seconds. This means you have to maximize the impact of every word, syllable and pause in your lead off statements. They need to be works of art – compelling to the extreme degree. To minimize the importance of preparing a solid opening statement is to potentially short circuit your entire sales effort. Fortunately, opening statements and elevator speeches can be prepared and practiced before a sales opportunity is ever pursued.
